prezi techniques

Popular music: popular is music what lots of people like and is very mainstream such as one direction what makes you beautiful and ylvis what does the fox say, the main focus of this type of music is everyone as is aims at a wide audience of lots of different people and is very similar to past music products or vidoes. This music is popular as it always follows the same techniuques which has proven to draw in the largest audienec.

Live in concert: this style is when gig and stage footage is shown in the music video and lots of times is when the band show some unseen footage like backstage ,this is a good technique to use as it makes the audience conect more with the band and makes them think the band are opening up more to the fans and making them feel special.

Animation: this is when a cartoon or animation is used in the video instead of the actual band being in the video this forces the band to lip sing in the video, this technique is good as it draws young children in if the colors are bright and eye catching but isnt really aimed at young people which makes the bands which use cartoons are more modern and aimed at a more modern audiences.a good example of animation is the gorrilaz (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pls_luhVdAw)

Narrative: narritive is used when the song is telling a story to the audience for example in johnny cashes hurt music video it is close to when his wife died and it tells his fans how he was feeling and how much it meant to him to have lost someone that close to him and how much he was hurting (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aF9AJm0RFc) this is a good techniue to use as although it draws the audience in it also makes the audience think about what the music video is about and what would of inspired the song writer to make the music video.

Sureal: This style is basically what it says in the title just when the music video has impossible and unreal elements like having super powers or singing on another planet like in the music video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jofNR_WkoCE) this is aimed at a more modern audience as older people would find it stupid and wouldnt understand why it is being used.
